Amazon Lodge Cuisine - Vegetarian  

Below are a selection of the vegetarian dishes we can cook up for you at The Amazon Lodge. Be sure to let  Louise know a few days in advance if you would like any of these dishes as she often has to search high and low to find just the right ingredients. In Louise's words

Lasagne: Roast Pumpkin, Bhaji and Risotto Lasagna – topped with mozzarella and parmesan, this vegetarian lasagna combines sweet, earthy flavours with a rich, creamy texture.


Mushroom and Potato Curry: mushroom, potato and aubergine cooked in coconut milk and the house curry blend; served with yellow rice or paratha roti, mango atchar, and mashed pumpkin


Chunky Minestrone Soup: thick traditional Italian soup with carrots, celery, potatoes, tomatoes, beans and cabbage; served with bread and butter


Veggie Shepherd’s Pie with Sweet Potato Mash: filling of lentils and carrots simmered in red wine and stock, covered with sweet potatoes mashed in butter, and baked in the oven; served with a selection of vegetable sides


Linguine with Mushroom Garlic Sauce: a light pasta tossed in olive oil, garlic, basil and parsley with sliced portobello mushrooms; served with bread and butter and a garden salad

Prices are US $30 per person and include a starter and desert. Service charge is also included. VAT at 15% will be added.

Please note Lunch Hour is from 12 midday to 2 pm and Dinner Hours is from 6.30 to 8.30 pm.

Meals ordered but not eaten must be paid for.

Meal requests or special dietary requirements must be arranged with management prior to check-in.
